Here is the first reaction of Tyron Woodley to the announcement of his boxing fight against Jake Paul which will take place on August 28.


We told you yesterday, Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul will fight each other in boxing and it will be on August 28 since it has been officially announced. Just after the announcement, Tyron Woodley spoke about this fight (via bjpenn) :

"This is the easiest fight of my career and the most money of my career in one night. They actually got me talking in a bad way. I can't wait to shut that bitch up. I'm doing it for the entire MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports. "


How this fight plays out will be interesting to see after the knockout suffered by Woodley's friend Ben Askren... Jake Paul has shown himself to be powerful and accurate in boxing. But Woodley seems to be a step above even if he remains on four consecutive losses in the UFC, his striking qualities are not negligible. Despite a nice age difference (39 against 24 for Paul), Woodley has much more experience...

Jake Paul has already found himself a new opponent.


 


The Youtuber turned boxer has reached an agreement with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley to face him in a ring, reports The Athletic.


 


The boxing match will take place on August 28, according to ESPN's Ariel Helwani. The venue for the duel has not yet been determined.


 


Since making his boxing debut, Paul has won all three of his fights by knockout. Last month, the 24-year-old defeated another former UFC fighter, Ben Askren, in the first round.


 


For Woodley, a 39-year-old fighter with a 19-7-1 record in the octagon, this will be his first career professional boxing bout.
