Boxing - YouTuber Jake Paul has found his next opponent, it will be former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
After Ben Askren (win by 1st round TKO), Jake Paul will take on his teammate Tyron Woodley according to The Athletic. Since the fight between Paul and Askren, T-Wood had been bidding to avenge his friend... he gets the lucrative fight he's been hoping for to end his career on a high note. At 39, Woodley hasn't won since 2018 and remains on a four-fight losing streak.
Having the so-called classic boxer-wrestler profile, the former welterweight champion should present a tougher opposition to Paul. Having "KO power", able to put out almost anyone with his back arm, Woodley will present a threat. We just hope he shows the same desire as he did against Vicente Luque in his farewell fight in the UFC.
For his part, the YouTuber has signed a multi-fight contract with the broadcaster Showtime. His boxing fight against Tyron Woodley will therefore be broadcast on the pay per view platform. With a 3-0 record in English boxing, he will look to continue his undefeated run.
TYRON WOODLEY "TAKES OUT THE TRASH" AGAINST JAKE PAUL
Former UFC champion Tyron Woodley and YouTuber Jake Paul will indeed face off in English boxing. The fight will take place in -86kg, on August 28 according to ESPN. After 8 years in the UFC, Tyron Woodley left the league on a four-fight losing streak.
At 39 years old, the man who has had a fairly reviled reign over the welterweight division will have the opportunity to change the game if he wins. Like his teammate Ben Askren's fight against Jake Paul, the MMA community will be behind him.
"The easiest fight of my career and the biggest payday of my career in one night. Basically, I got called out for taking out the trash. I can't wait to shut that bitch up. I'm going to do it for the culture, for the whole MMA community and the whole boxing community, to rid combat sports of this guy. " - Tyron Woodley
"Tyron is a seasoned striker who has fought the best MMA fighters in the world, but is about to be sent to the mat by a young Disney star in 2 rounds. " - Jake Paul
